Justin and Lacy McKay are missionaries and church planters in Arvada, CO with the SEND Network. They are starting a brand new church called The Local Church. It’s a local church for local people with a local mission. They are passionate about their mission to help the people of Olde Town Arvada follow Jesus, build relationships, and discover their purpose. Pray for them as they begin a new work in a spiritually dry area of Colorado. They’ve been married since November 2015 and they have one daughter, Posy.
Calvary is supporting The Local Church monthly as well as partnering with them to provide resources for their local schools. This summer we are sending a team June 4-8 to serve with The Local Church. The purpose of this trip is two-fold. Half of the time the team will be working with Justin McKay and The Local Church (TLC), serving the community and catching the vision of TLC for reaching the Arvada area. The other half of the time will be focused on spiritual formation through disciplines like prayer, silence, and solitude, and simplicity through activities like group study, hiking, times of reflection, and prayer walks.
