The Senior Adult Ministry at Calvary.

The Senior Adult Ministries (SAM) team encourages and helps to facilitate ministry opportunities for senior adults while providing opportunities for spiritual and personal growth, fellowship, travel and “good old fashion fun.”

Our Purpose

· Assist senior adults in discovering and living out their spiritual gifts and personal ministries.

· Provide opportunities for senior adults to share their experience and wisdom as they encourage and mentor younger and newer Christians.

· Support Calvary’s vision of developing followers of Christ Jesus by pouring into current small groups and helping develop new small group ministries.

SAM Sponsored Outreach

Bereavement Ministry provides support to families by providing funeral meals.

Primetimer's Book Clubs meet every few months and provide an opportunity for ladies (age 50+) to get together for lunch and discussion on a new book.

Green Tree Ministry provides a Faith Service at Green Tree Residential Facility each Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:00 pm. The format is one of singing, a short devotional and visiting with the residents.

Other yearly SAM sponsored events at Calvary include: Annual Cake & Pie Auction, Chili Cook Off and more!
